The employer accounts submitted to us are by their very nature unique. No school district, city, or manufacturer is the same. Underwriters tend to think in terms of classes of business instead of considering the particular operations and/or claims handling process of each entity. We help our client producers identify various positive nuances that if not brought to the underwriters' attention would go unappreciated.
On many occasion, our client producers will ask us to sit in on meetings or visit the insured to explain coverage differences among carriers. We gladly welcome the opportunity to clarify and help a client's client reach a decision that is right for them. We do not sell, we explain. Individual reinsurer representatives must extol the virtues of their terms, whereas, we can bring our client producers wider perspective comparing available options from various carriers.
